Sue and I with some nice Israeli soldiers. |
Alas, the tour is over and very little posting was done. We both want to apologize for that but truthfully we just ran our little legs off trying to fit everything in. We will be posting a lot when we get home and the others in our group will be doing the same.
We made some wonderful friends on this trip. Last night we had to say goodbye to Nanette and Mike from Las Vegas as well as another couple who's name slipped my mind. You all know how my mind works. Ugh.
Tonight we had to say goodbye to some who were leaving at different times than us. Not only did we have to say goodbye to some of our purple bus friends but also the yellow bus friends. What? You don't understand purple bus and yellow bus? Well, the tour group got so big they split us into two buses. It didn't matter, although we had different itineraries, we had a blast whenever we ran into each other. It was like a family reunion. Many of the yellow bus are from the South in Alabama and Florida (Flawda) where ours are St. Louis, Las Vegas, Sue and I in Washington, Toronto Canada and even one lovely young lady from New Zealand. We represented many areas.
I can't wait to tell you more details about our trip. Today we visited parts of the Israel Museum and the Holocaust museum as well as Caiphus's house. I know that's not spelled right.
My goodness, we saw so much of Jerusalem and there is so much to tell you about the things we saw and experienced. Some things just fill you with joy and amazement and some make you cry like a baby. Well it did us.
I want to give each thing justice and there just isn't time here because of the schedule. We will be heading out in the morning at 5:30 and getting home around midnight tomorrow night. Egad.
Hugs to all of you and I love ya.
Suz
